Visual Examination
A visual examination involves inspecting your teeth and surrounding tissues—such as the gums, tongue, palate, and floor of the mouth—using the naked eye. While important, this method offers a limited view and may not detect all decay or diseases affecting the deeper structures of your mouth.

Comprehensive Examination
A comprehensive examination includes both a visual assessment and dental radiographs (X-rays). This allows your dentist to detect early signs of tooth decay, gum disease, and other issues that are not always visible during a basic check-up. It provides a more complete picture of your oral health, helping ensure timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment.
